TFP is proud to be UK distributor of this proven product. Since their development, these adhesive foal shoes have become common place in orthopaedic therapy for foals and, to a great extent, have taken over from nailed corrective shoes. The shoes are virtually indestructible one fitted enabling normal turnout. They have many advantages over acrylics especially where adhesion or lack of it becomes a problem. The Foal shoes should be fitted in consultation with a Veterinary Surgeon. Sedation is recommended as the two part adhesive takes approximately twenty minutes to cure. The shoes can restrict hoof capsule development and should be removed after a maximum of two weeks.
The Dallmer Club foot shoe and it’s extended toe section is the equivalent of a beaked horseshoe and is designed to correct club foot in foals without using nails.
The Dallmer flaccidity shoe features extended quarters to prevent hyperextension of the ungula phalanx joints.
The Dalric extension shoe can be used to correct abnormal positions (toed in and toed out). In the case of axial deformation (Varus and valgus), it can also be used to provide post surgery support.
Dallmer Cuff shoes come in a full range of sizes and can be used when conventional nailing becomes a problem. Wear and traction can be improved by riveting a conventional shoe to the cuff.
The Dallmer Clog can be used as an alternative to steel shoes and can be removed easily after exercise. Alternately the Dallmer Clog can be used for post surgery protection. Download and View the Full product catalogue
