The PM Hoof Pad is an aid to eliminate increased strain on tendons, heels and soles. 

 The PM Hoof Pad  shows a tendon-supporting effect by its frog-shaped concavity – leading to a statics/balance improvement similar to bar shoes.

In addition it offers much better pressure distribution on the frog and sole.  This is an additional and outstanding benefit.
